Summary
The Online Scheduler (OLS) provides patients the ability to see available appointments in real time to either request or schedule a future appointment, depending on the practice preference and/or practice management system (PMS) capability. OLS feature options and capabilities are seen in Online Scheduler Settings.
When OLS is enabled (turned on), any patient receiving an email will be able to access the OLS by pressing a widget on the email directing the patient to the Patient Site. Some SMS templates contain a link to the Patient Site by using the %BookOnline% key word.
A link is provided to the Patient Site to embed on your practice website or anywhere else you may choose to offer patients access to online scheduling.

This feature offers highly customizable options allowing the practice the ability to control appointment times, providers and appointment types available to the patient to select from.
Use of this feature is highly recommended when the Recall or Continuing Care features are used as it provides 24/7 access to appointment scheduling for the patients.
